About Me

I believe there is no such thing as a perfect child, parent, or family. We are all doing the best we can with the resources we have, and I am passionate about helping children and families get the supports they deserve. I have been working with children and families for over 15 years, and I use a highly collaborative approach while also providing guidance and tools you can use in your day-to-day life.

I am very down-to-earth and balance playfulness and humor with seriousness and compassion. Therapy, especially for children, does not have to feel scary, overwhelming, or like work. I focus on staying within a child’s window of tolerance (how much they can handle) while also intentionally supporting them to address current challenges to help reach their goals.

Therapy is not just a job for me; It is my passion, and I love what I do. I am dedicated to learning about the brain, interpersonal neurobiology, and attachment theory and research. I apply my ongoing studies to my sessions and work with families, and you are guaranteed to get the best practice care that is supported by current research…in playful ways, of course. And, fun fact, you don’t have to know how to play! As a recovering non-playful person, I’m here to support the whole family.

On a personal note, I am a mommy to two wild boys, ages 6 and 8. Jokingly, but also very seriously, I like to say that they give me a lot of material when it comes to relating to the families I work with. They have humbled and taught me in ways I cannot fully describe, and regardless of how much I know, I'm going through the ups and downs just like anyone else. You do not have to go through these challenges alone, and I would love to help.

I work with a variety of presenting challenges and concerns. I specialize in treating trauma, attachment needs, depression, and anxiety in children. I am additionally experienced in working with presenting issues related to foster/adoption, neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, etc.), life changes (divorce, starting/changing school), grief/loss, and more. Please feel free to reach out to schedule a consultation call and set up an initial meeting to see if we could be a good fit.
