School/Childcare Supports and Collaboration

When a child is struggling in childcare or school, Christina is able to communicate and meet with school administration and teachers as well as directly observe the child in these environments. This serves to better inform how to support the child in therapy as well as to help in providing recommendations to parents and schools to better meet the needs of the child.

Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) - Assessments

Assessment, history gathering, and observations (in all important environments) to help create a child's unique brain map, particularly for those who have experienced trauma, which may have impacted brain functioning (e.g., child engages in ways that seem younger than their chronological age). The clinical summary and brain map describe the child's current brain functioning and developmental needs. Recommendations are made for interventions and services to best meet the child's needs, supporting cognitive and developmental growth as well as decreasing maladaptive behavioral symptoms.
